brand&profileKate worked with high-profile Australian television personality and producer Andrew Denton and his production company Zapruders Other Films to produce an observational documentary television series for Channel 9 on the operations of the Australian Federal Police (AFP).

This major communications initiative was developed by Kate as a solution to increase the brand awareness and enhance the reputation of the Australian Federal Police. The television series ensured the profile of the organisation was reflective of the services it provided to the Australian public.

Kate provided high-level liaison between Andrew Denton’s production company Zapruders other Films and the 6,500 strong AFP to ensure the organisation’s interests were accurately portrayed in the series. The editorial direction in the series and Kate’s engagement with the AFP senior executive to identify the best stories ensured the success of the series.

Film crews were deployed around the world and sensitive negotiations with partner law enforcement agencies to allow access were project managed by Kate.

This strategic communications approach was intuitive and bold for a police organisation and has enhanced its image and reputation through raising awareness of its work with the Australian public.
